Getting the nickname “Ras” happens naturally with a name like ours, so we’ve kept it going with Rasmussen Aviation Services.

Luke L. Rasmussen
Ever since my first airshow with my Grandpa I’ve been fascinated by aviation. My first flying was with the Civil Air Patrol, but my time in the Marines got me started as a mechanic. I received a multitude of training during my enlistment as a KC-130J Crew Chief. After this I found a variety of work ranging from construction, equipment operation to modifying MTVR and LVSR trucks on Camp Lejeune, NC. I finally got back into aviation working on UH-1N and CH-53D’s at the depot on MCAS Cherry Point where I gained invaluable experience in structural and sheet metal repair. Once in California I was able to pursue my pilot’s ratings, and I could hardly tell which type of work I like more.
